Hospital Accreditation Training and Workshop
As part of its commitment to quality in healthcare in Malaysia, the MSQH Secretariat is actively conducting training and workshops at public and private hospitals throughout Malaysia. Hospital Accreditation training is a pre-requisite for facilities requesting for Accreditation at the initial stage. These training and workshops are intended to introduce the Accreditation Program to hospital staff and assist them in planning and preparing for accreditation. The training and workshops are conducted by MSQH surveyors themselves. This gives the opportunity for the hospitals to get first hand information about the content of the whole program and processes.
Hospital Accreditation Survey
To date the MSQH has surveyed and accredited 11 hospitals one of those is private. The MSQH has also conducted two Compliance Surveys and a Focus Survey in the year 2000. It is anticipated that more hospitals will be ready for Accreditation Survey this year. The MSQH conducts Compliance Survey every year for the hospitals that have achieved Three Year Accreditation Status to ensure that standards are maintained and complied with. The MSQH will not hesitate to withdraw the Accreditation Status in the event of major non-compliance.
