11th South East Asian (SEA) Healthcare Show 2006
The 11th SEA Healthcare Show 2006 was held from 26th to 28th
April 2006 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre with nearly 3,000
participants from China, Taiwan and India. MSQH was given a
complimentary booth to showcase our products and services. An
estimated number of 200 visitors visited MSQH booth during the
event.
Conference On Occupational Needlestick Injuries -
Whose Responsibility : 25th to 26th July 2006
A jointly organised conference berween MSQH and Aesculap Academy
Malaysia in collaboration with Ministry of Health, College of
Anaesthesiologists and APHM on Occupational Needlestick Injuries -
Whose Responsibility was held successfully from 25th to 26th July
2006. The conference was declared open by Director General of
Health, Tan Sri Datuk Dr Hj Mohd Ismail Merican. A total number of
340 participants attended and has proved to be very interactive
platform for the exchange of expertise and knowledge on the topic.
W.H.O. Affirmation of Malaysia's Commitment to
Global Patient Safety Challenge 2005-2006 - 15th May 2006
MSQH was invited to attend the official signing of the country's
pledge on W.H.O.'s Affirmation of Malaysia's commitment toward
global patient safety challenge 2005 - 2006 on 15th May 2006.
Mr. Saifulhazmi Salihin attended the ceremony on behalf of MSQH. The
historic signing of the pledge were witnessed by Dato' Dr Chua Soi
Lek (Minister of Health), Tan Sri Datuk Dr Hj Mohd Ismail Merican
(Director General of Health), Dato' Dr Noorimi Hj Morad (Medical
Development Division Director), Dr Hajah Kalsom Maskon (Deputy
Director of Medical Development Division) and Dr Paa Mohd Nazir Abd
Rahman (Chief Deputy Director of Medical Development Division)
together with Dr. Han Tieru (WHO representative for Brunei,
Singapore and Malaysia) and Prof Dr Didier Pittet (Leader of the
Global Patient Safety Challenge). The pledge introduced a new
practical approach of preventing healthcare acquired infections by
applying hand rub hygiene at all public hospitals.
