MSQH continues to strive towards becoming a highly recognised organisation not only nationally but also internationally in accreditation of healthcare facilities and services by re-certification of accreditation our standards and organisation with the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) every four years. MSQH has been awarded the ISQua accreditation certification for Organisation from June 2012 until May 2016.

MSQH was visited by ISQua Assessors from 16th to 20th April 2012. During that time, the team of ISQua assessors for the organisational survey comprised of Jan Mackereth-Hill (Consultant and Accreditation Manager) from International Society for Quality in Health (ISQua) and Tricia Dore (Consultant) from Health and Disability Auditing New Zealand. The assessors assessed the performance of the MSQH organisation against the ISQua Standards and provided recommendations for improvement.

MSQH has been awarded the ISQua Accreditation certification on Standards for a full 4-year period from June 2012 to May 2016. With this accreditation, MSQH has joined 17 other countries in the world to receive the ISQua Organisational certification and 23 other countries to receive the ISQua Standards certification (as at 10th October 2012).

The process involved assessment against eight (8) standards and around 80 criteria covering both the quality performance of the MSQH organisation (governance, management system, etc) as well as MSQH's assessment and accreditation programme.

ISQua Training Programme

Survey of MSQH was conducted by ISQua Assessment team from 05th to 16th September 2011. The team comprised of Ms. Freek Van Der Hejden, Manager, The Netherlands Institute for Accreditation of Hospitals and Ms. Victoria Crawford, General Manager, Accreditation Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd.

MSQH has been awarded the ISQua Accreditation certification on MSQH Surveyor Training Programme for a full 4-year period from Dec 2011 to Nov 2015. With this accreditation, MSQH has joined 9 other countries in the world to receive the ISQua Surveyor Training Programme certification (as at 16th Jan 2012).

Members of ISQua Accreditation Council

The following ISQua member organizations are represented on the Accreditation Council which oversees the processes of ISQua’s International Accreditation Program (IIAP) which MSQH is one of the council members. To ensure international and independent overview, ex-officio members of the Council include representatives from the International hospital Federation, the World Health Organization (WHO), World Bank and WONCA, the world organization for family practice. This Council reports to ISQua’s Executive Board.
